Exoflora Carapax is a fully 3D-printed wearable sculpture designed to be used as a bag—including its seamlessly integrated hinges. It belongs to the wearable sculpture universe: functional, collectible, and uncanny in the best way. Its silhouette triggers wildly different associations—some see a blooming carnivorous plant, others a protective seed pod, a deep-sea creature, or a futuristic device. This multiplicity of readings is part of its magic: it invites projection, emotion, and narrative.
Crafted in plant-based resin blended with a rubber-like resin for added resilience, every surface is meticulously hand-finished and hand-sanded, then sealed with a highly resistant top layer that gives the piece a polished, enduring sheen. Despite its complex geometry, Exoflora Carapax remains ergonomic, lightweight, and entirely usable—where fantasy and function meet in one luminous object.
