Pendulus intricata
2022
Pendulus Intricata is one of the earliest designs in this body of work, a foundational experiment in exploring the freedoms and constraints of 3D printing at a wearable scale. Conceived as an earring, but adaptable as a brooch, it embodies the project’s central principle: objects that are not fixed to a single function but instead invite the wearer to position them across the body as sculptural extensions. Its elongated form is defined by a lattice that transitions from an open, breathing mesh to a narrow, tapering spine, revealing the underlying topology of the digital sculpture from which it originated. This shifting density demonstrates the potential of computational fabrication to create gradients of structure and porosity with precision. Despite its delicacy, the piece maintains a strong sculptural presence, marking the first step in developing a language where digital freedom becomes a physical, body-responsive form.
