Orchidium vascularis
2023
Orchidium Vascularis is a sculptural vase organism inspired by the elegance and structural intelligence of orchid forms. Its elongated, petal-like arms rise and curve with botanical grace, enclosing a porous mesh chamber that resembles both a vascular plant system and an exoskeletal shell.
Designed as a hybrid object, the piece can function as a vessel that allows water or light to flow through its intricate lattice, yet it also stands independently as a pure sculptural entity. The central circular apertures evoke the reproductive geometry of flowers, translated into a digitally grown lattice that breathes with subtle organic logic.
Orchidium Vascularis embodies a fusion of botanical anatomy and computational growth—an orchid reinvented as an alien vessel, equally at home as a functional object or a standalone organism within the artist’s speculative ecology.
