Manus arcanae

Manus Arcanae is a fully digital-born sculptural hand, modeled from the artist’s own anatomy and transformed through a series of computational mutations. While the underlying proportions echo a human hand, every surface has been reinterpreted through parametric code, stretching tendons, elongating joints, and weaving ligaments into a lattice that feels both anatomical and otherworldly. The piece is governed by a custom simulation system in which each positional shift of the model causes its inner topology—ligaments, membrane-like bags, and structural strands—to subtly rearrange themselves. This creates a dynamic internal logic: the sculpture adapts and reorganizes as though it were a living entity responding to gravity, orientation, and tension.
