Inquilina protecta
Inquilina protecta is a mounted lighting sculpture composed of a central organism surrounded by six peripheral entities that grow in close interdependence. Each body develops its own formal language while remaining structurally bound to a shared system of support and protection. The outer elements act as shielding wings, while the central body functions as both anchor and mediator between the living structure and its metal base. At its apex, the core organism enters a flowering phase, unfolding into an expanded form that suggests a seasonal cycle of growth, exposure, and renewal, transforming the sculpture into a momentarily blossoming entity suspended between animal morphology and botanical emergence.
