Corallium primordiale
2023
Corallium Primordiale is the earliest luminous sculpture in the collection—a bold, large-scale work standing nearly half a meter tall. Created in 2023, it marks the first exploration into sculptural lighting and establishes the primordial origins of the Luminaria lineage. Its form evokes ancient coral architectures and ancestral marine organisms, translated into a dramatic red radiance. Constructed from modular components fused into a unified exoskeletal shell, the piece embodies both fragility and monumentality. The intricate mesh diffuses light through layered patterns, producing a glowing, fossil-like presence that feels excavated from a deep temporal ocean. As the founding specimen of this series, Corallium Primordiale sets the aesthetic DNA for all subsequent illuminated organisms—dense, organic, and richly atmospheric.
