Columna fractalis
2025
Columna Fractalis is a multi‑positional parametric wearable sculpture designed to interact with the body in several orientations. It can be worn along the spine, across the chest, or wrapped as a belt, allowing the wearer to choreograph its presence according to movement and posture. Its form is composed of interlocked vertebra‑like modules, echoing the logic of an animal spine while simultaneously diverging into an alien, speculative morphology. The structure blends human anatomical reference with computationally generated mutation, producing a hybrid between biological articulation and digital growth. Through its repeating segments and interdependent joints, it achieves both flexibility and sculptural coherence, embodying a dialogue between the physical logic of vertebral systems and the expressive freedom of algorithmic design.
